Abstract

With the growing focus on language education, teachers have increasingly turned to technology to enhance and develop students' learning environment. This study tests the learning use of AI-powered chatbots, mobile-assisted language learning, and gamification techniques in English as a Second Language (ESL) classrooms) classrooms. It explores how the use of modern technology impacts students' learning ability and motivation, specifically their vocabulary acquisition and communication skills. This research draws on modern learning theories, including self-determination theory, mobile learning theory, interactionism theory, and sociocultural theory. The paper concludes with strategic suggestions and potential research topics.
