Among the major figures, the effects of fully fitted firmware for reporting revenue increase are 10%. The paper points out the major barriers to implementation, which could include lack of digital skills and high investments needed during the founding phase. In summary, the paper concludes with recommendations for policy actions for stimulating an inclusive digital framework to guarantee the maximum economic returns of DT for SMEs in emerging countries.
