The Journal of Psychology and Behavior Studies (JPBS) is an international open-access journal published by Al-Kindi Center for Research and Development. It publishes research, theoretical articles, and reviews about psychology, including Behavioral, Clinical, and Cognitive Psychology. The journal encourages interdisciplinary research, with the primary focus being on psychology and behavioral sciences. Work that cuts across a variety of disciplines and fields related to psychology and the behavioral sciences is encouraged. The journal also entertains unsolicited proposals for special issues that fit the stated scope of the journal. All papers published in the journal are subjected to the rigorous and accepted processes of academic peer review.
The Journal of Psychology and Behavior Studies on a continuous basis. Articles are published in the current issue as soon as they are peer-reviewed, accepted, copyedited, and proofread, allowing a steady stream of informative quality articles. The journal then archives the articles in 2 issues: January-June; July-December. In the continuous publication, articles may be submitted at any time. They still undergo the same process of peer review and preparation, but this can begin right away and ends as soon as the article is ready.
The journal publishes the following types of contributions: (1) full-length articles, (2) review articles, (3) book reviews, (4) discussion notes and (5) articles in translation.
This is an open-access journal, i.e. all articles are immediately and permanently free to read, download, copy & distribute. The journal is published under the CC BY 4.0 user license which defines the permitted 3rd-party reuse of its articles.
There is no submission fee for the Journal of Psychology and Behavior Studies.
The article processing charge of the journal is $150.
Conflicts of interest may exist when professional judgments concerning a primary interest have the possibility of being influenced by a secondary interest (e.g.: financial gains). It is to be noted that even perceptions of conflicts of interest are as important as the actual conflicts of interest.
Any agreements with study sponsors (for-profit or non-profit), which interfere with the authors’ access to the study data, ability to analyse or interpret the data and publish manuscripts independently according to their own decision, should be avoided by authors at all costs.
A declaration of interest for all authors must be received before an article can be reviewed and accepted for publication.
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.
We fully support and encourage the author self-archiving of all content (sometimes termed 'green' open access). All our journals are registered with SHERPA/RoMEO to ensure that the license terms and self-archiving policies of the journals are 100% clear.
The journal is indexed by Google Scholar and available for harvesting via OAI-PMH.
