It publishes research, theoretical articles, and reviews about psychology, including Behavioral, Clinical, and Cognitive Psychology. The journal encourages interdisciplinary research, with the primary focus being on psychology and behavioral sciences. Work that cuts across a variety of disciplines and fields related to psychology and the behavioral sciences is encouraged. The journal also entertains unsolicited proposals for special issues that fit the stated scope of the journal. All papers published in the journal are subjected to the rigorous and accepted processes of academic peer review.
Focus and Scope
Journal of Psychology and Behavior Studies is a double-blind peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by Al-Kindi Center for Research and Development. It aims to bring into the public arena new ideas and findings in the field of psychological and behavioral research. The journal publishes studies, position papers, case studies, viewpoints, book reviews from practitioners of all grades and professions, academics and other specialists on the broad spectrum of psychology and behavior studies.
One of the benefits of Open Access publishing is that articles can be published within days of having been accepted rather than having to wait for open space in an upcoming issue of the journal. That is the model the journal employs. Once an article is accepted for publication, the files will be typeset. There will then be an opportunity to proof the final PDF before the publication is released. This process should take between one and two weeks.
Articles published in the journal will be added to the current volume and only one volume will be published per year. There are no separate issues of the journal within this volume, however, article collections can be collated and displayed separately from the open volume, allowing conference proceedings, themed series etc to be published in a clearly identifiable way.
Types of Contributions
Authors should consider their chosen article type carefully; the journal accepts the following types of contributions: research articles, review articles and book reviews.

Conflict of Interest
Conflicts of interest may exist when professional judgements concerning a primary interest have the possibility of being influenced by a secondary interest (e.g.: financial gains). It is to be noted that even perceptions of conflicts of interest are as important as the actual conflicts of interest. Any agreements with study sponsors (for-profit or non-profit), which interfere with the authors’ access to the study data, ability to analyse or interpret the data and publish manuscripts independently according to their own decision, should be avoided by authors at all costs. A declaration of interest for all authors must be received before an article can be reviewed and accepted for publication.
