The Journal of English Language Teaching and Applied Linguistics (JELTAL) is a double-blind peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by Al-Kindi Center for Research and Development. The journal is led by expert international editorial board members who take an objective approach to peer review, ensuring each research paper is reviewed and evaluated on its own scholarly merits and research integrity. It covers the latest developments in the broad areas of English language teaching and applied linguistics. With its uniquely broad coverage, the journal offers readers free access to all new research issues relevant to English language teaching and applied linguistics. While JELTAL strives to maintain high academic standards and an international reputation through the suggestions of the international advisory board, it welcomes original, theoretical and practical submissions from all over the world. The journal includes, but is not limited to the following fields:

The publication frequency of the Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences Studies is monthly (12 issues per year).
The journal publishes the following types of contributions: (1) full-length articles, (2) review articles, (3) book reviews, (4) discussion notes and (5) articles in translation
This is an open-access journal, i.e. all articles are immediately and permanently free to read, download, copy & distribute. The journal is published under the CC BY 4.0 user license, which defines the permitted 3rd-party reuse of its articles.
There is no submission fee for theJournal of English Language Teaching and Applied Linguistics.
The article processing charge of the journal is $150.
Conflicts of interest may exist when professional judgements concerning a primary interest have the possibility of being influenced by a secondary interest (e.g.: financial gains). It is to be noted that even perceptions of conflicts of interest are as important as the actual conflicts of interest.
Any agreements with study sponsors (for-profit or non-profit), which interfere with the authors’ access to the study data, ability to analyse or interpret the data and publish manuscripts independently according to their own decision, should be avoided by authors at all costs.
A declaration of interest for all authors must be received before an article can be reviewed and accepted for publication.
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.
We fully support and encourage the author self-archiving of all content (sometimes termed 'green' open access). All our journals are registered with SHERPA/RoMEO to ensure that the license terms and self-archiving policies of the journals are 100% clear.
The journal is indexed by Google Scholar and available for harvesting via OAI-PMH.
