Abstract

This study aimed to assess the level of psychological burnout (in its dimensions: emotional exhaustion, reduced personal accomplishment, and depersonalization) and its relationship with psychological security among members of the security apparatus in the city of Alkufra. The study adopted a descriptive-analytical methodology and included a sample of 164 individuals aged 20 years and above. The results revealed an above-average level of psychological burnout among the sample members. They also indicated a statistically significant inverse relationship (at the 0.05 level) between psychological burnout and psychological security, where an increase in burnout levels leads to a decrease in psychological security. Statistically significant differences in the level of psychological burnout were found attributable to the variables of age and marital status, with these differences favoring the younger age group (20-30 years) and unmarried individuals. In contrast, the results did not show any statistically significant differences attributable to the variable of years of service.
