Continuous Publishing and Archived Issues
The journal of Mechanical, Civil and Industrial Engineering (JMCIE) publishes articles on a continuous basis. This means that articles enter the current issue as soon as they are ready to publish to ensure that there are no unnecessary delays in getting content publically available. JMCIE then archives the articles within 2 issues: January-June; July-December.
Open Access Policy
This is an open access journal, i.e. all articles are immediately and permanently free to read, download, copy & distribute. The journal is published under the CCBY-NC 4.0 user license which defines the permitted 3rd-party reuse of its articles.
Article Processing Charges (APC)
Currently, the article processing charge of the journal of Mechanical, Civil and Industrial Engineering is $60.
Conflict of Interest
Conflicts of interest may exist when professional judgements concerning a primary interest has the possibility of being influenced by a secondary interest (e.g.: financial gains). It is to be noted that even perceptions of conflicts of interest are as important as the actual conflicts of interest.
Any agreements with study sponsors (for profit or non-profit), which interfere with the authors’ access to the study data, ability to analyse or interpret the data and publish manuscripts independently according to their own decision, should be avoided by authors at all costs.
A declaration of interests for all authors must be received before an article can be reviewed and accepted for publication.
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.
