This article examines the transformative role of data virtualization in Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) systems within investment banking. Through a comprehensive analysis of current EPM systems, the article investigates the implementation of virtual data layers, their impact on operational efficiency, and the resulting improvements in data accessibility and processing capabilities. The article further examines architectural considerations, risk management strategies, and performance optimization techniques in virtualized environments. By analyzing both challenges and solutions, this article demonstrates how data virtualization is revolutionizing EPM systems, enabling real-time data access, enhancing regulatory compliance, and improving customer service delivery in the investment banking sector.
