Abstract

The rapid growth of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has revolutionised numerous facets of human life, particularly for Generation Z, who have been raised in a predominantly digital milieu. Adolescents are progressively impacted by AI (AI) technology in the realms of knowledge construction, decision-making, and learning. Although AI presents several prospects for creativity, education, and productivity, it raises ethical concerns around autonomy, critical thinking, authenticity, responsibility, and human dignity. This conceptual paper examines ethical considerations regarding the employment of AI among Generation Z through Immanuel Kant's philosophical framework. It is recently being enhanced by the viewpoint of Magnifica Humanitas, which underscores the dignity, greatness, and flourishing of the human individual. This article deeply examines Kantian concepts like good will, autonomy, obligation, illumination, the categorical imperative, and the premise of humanity as a goal in itself, which accomplished through a philosophical-conceptual methodology. This study posits that AI is not merely a technological innovation; but rather a social force that impacts human behaviour and cognition. Kantians contend that ethical interaction with AI is not chiefly contingent upon technological progress, instead it hinges on humans' capacity to uphold rational autonomy and moral accountability in their dealings with intelligent systems. The essay contends that educational institutions possess a moral obligation to enhance Generation Z's knowledge of AI by instructing them to utilise AI deliberately and ethically, rather than dissuading their engagement. In additon, Magnifica Humanitas views AI must serve as an instrument for human advancement and should never replace morality, rationality, or human dignity. The research concludes that, in a progressively automated society maintaining humanity's status as the paramount moral being is crucial for the ethical implementation of AI.
