This study aimed to examine the mediating role of work engagement in the relationship between training and rewards for employee performance. Work engagement creates good interaction between employees and workers so that employees feel obliged to respond through increased performance. The data were obtained from 213 BPS employees who were processed using <em>SmartPLS3</em>. The results showed that work engagement acted as a mediator of the relationship between training and rewards for employee performance. This research is expected to add information about the management of performance management in public sector organizations.</p> ER -
